Analogy Definition:

Analogy: A correspondence in 2 or more respects between otherwise dissimilar things. This thinking process is used in visual thinking to discriminate between productive and superficial bisociations. A form of logical inference or an instance of it, based on the assumption that if two things are known to be alike in some respects, then they must be alike in other respects.
