Control of Direction Principle Definition:

One of the six principles of shaping that lead to visual logic. This principle holds that human beings are not only able to make conscious decisions about the direction their designs will develop, but they are part of nature themselves and must acknowledge that there are many aspects of their actions which are best intuitively directed. These aspects require the artist to be skillful in inventing strategies for guiding the shaping process even while the final goal can not be known logically in advance.
