Cross-cultural Commonalities and Interconnectedness

The cross-cultural definition of art developed by June King McFee is rooted in very basic behavior. Art involves creation or intended production resulting from action.

The foundation of this behavior must be intentional motivation derived from ones desire to "interpret and enhance the quality or essence of experience". (McFee, 1997)
