Old Art Basics: Teacher / Student Relationship

In the Old Art Basics the teacher is viewed as a full repository of valuable knowledge gained through a post secondary education. The students, however, are regarded as somewhat empty vessels into whom curricular content, held by the teacher, must be placed. If the students can absorb this basic knowledge they will someday grow to learn how to understand, appreciate, and produce advanced art.
